proverbs 12:3

Proverbs 12:3 says "a man cannot be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted".

This passage clearly communicates that it is impossible to be established through wickedness.  If this is the case than why do we find it so hard to truly follow God?  Are we hell bent on never  being grounded? Do we like living an unfulfilled life being tossed back and forth?  Our focus seems to always be on the things of the world.  When we focus so heavily on the things of the world, we allow ourselves to be knocked around in our mind and emotions leaving us damaged inside.  Why can't we focus and trust God?  Does anyone even care to be righteous  in Christ and live for Him?

I care Brother.

"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome" (1John 5:3).

"Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world" (1John 2:15-16).

It's easy to follow God if you truly love Him. There is nothing more pleasing in life than to serve the King.

Problem is some people care more about the world and their love for it than for the One who created it.

The difficulty is this: We have a hard time realizing that there is a spiritual battle going on inside us. The flesh muscle is bigger than the spiritual muscle in most of us men because we exercise it more.

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord" Isaiah 55:8

I made a start by picking an area that I knew my flesh was weak in: looking at women other than my wife. I made the conscious decision to stop doing that as a spiritual exercise. The more I was able to exercise my spirit the stronger it became and the weaker the flesh became. You and I know that the flesh is VERY STRONG! But I had to start somewhere.

With God's help, we can become the spiritual leaders God meant for us to be.

I care too. But it is a fight and sometimes when we are doing okay in the fight, we get cocky and depart from the original plan. Gotta get back to basics, back to where you first started, back to your first love...
